Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Rosta platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Rosta Pty Ltd.

2. Description of the Service

Rosta is a shift-fill platform that connects organisations with available workers for short-notice shift coverage. The platform uses automated matching, reliability scoring, and notification tools to fill shifts quickly and fairly.

3. User responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when registering and maintaining your profile.
  • Honour shift commitments you accept through the platform.
  • Comply with the lawful directions of the organisation during any shift.
  • Notify the platform promptly if you cannot attend a shift you have accepted.
  • Maintain valid work rights for the shifts you accept.

4. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • Provide false information about your identity, qualifications, or work rights.
  • Attempt to manipulate your reliability score through fraudulent means.
  • Access the platform using another person's credentials.
  • Use the platform for any purpose that is unlawful or harmful.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the platform's operation.

5. Intellectual property

The Rosta platform, including its design, software, and content, is owned by Rosta Pty Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rosta is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Our liability for any direct loss is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the platform. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
